Xuzhou, China, 9 January 2026 — XCMG Indonesia has officially delivered 100 units of electric dump trucks to a coal mining company in South Kalimantan as part of efforts to strengthen mining operations by adopting environmentally friendly technology and improving energy efficiency. This delivery marks a strategic step by XCMG in supporting the transformation of Indonesia’s mining industry toward more sustainable operations.

The electric dump trucks were manufactured at XCMG’s production facility in Xuzhou, China, which is recognized as one of XCMG’s global hubs for high-technology heavy equipment manufacturing. After completing the production process, quality control, and performance testing in accordance with international standards, all units were shipped to Indonesia via international logistics routes in early 2026 before being deployed at a coal mining site in South Kalimantan.

The handover ceremony was conducted by XCMG Indonesia and the coal mining partner, and was witnessed by the management of both companies as well as technical and operational teams. This moment marked the beginning of large-scale implementation of electric dump trucks in mining operations, as part of a long-term collaboration between XCMG and Indonesia’s national mining industry partners.

The procurement of these electric dump trucks aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and significantly lower carbon emissions generated by mining activities. In addition, the use of electric vehicles at mining sites aligns with the industry’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and supports Indonesia’s energy transition agenda in the mining sector.
