Padang, December 6, 2025 — As part of its social responsibility and corporate commitment, XCMG Indonesia, through the XCMG Peduli Sumatra program, has distributed heavy equipment assistance and basic necessities to disaster-affected areas across Sumatra, including Aceh, Padang, and Tapanuli.
This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative was carried out as a rapid response to emergency conditions and the urgent need for infrastructure and social recovery. The assistance was officially handed over to local and municipal governments, consisting of several excavator units deployed to reopen access roads, clear disaster debris, and support regional rehabilitation efforts, as well as basic food packages to help meet the essential needs of affected communities.

The program was implemented during the emergency response and early recovery phases, with direct distribution mechanisms and close coordination with local governments to ensure that aid was delivered accurately, efficiently, and utilized immediately. Through XCMG Peduli Sumatra, XCMG reaffirms its commitment to being present, acting swiftly, and contributing tangibly to Indonesian society, especially in times of critical need.
The disaster that struck Sumatra has resulted in severe humanitarian impacts. Within a short period, thousands of families lost their homes, with 964 fatalities reported, 264 people still missing, 4,200 injured, and more than 894,101 individuals forced to evacuate—a figure that continues to rise. These conditions underscore the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration to accelerate emergency response and recovery efforts in affected areas (Source: Liputan 6, December 9, 2025).

Looking ahead, XCMG Indonesia remains committed to implementing sustainable and responsive CSR programs aligned with community needs. Through synergy with local governments, relevant institutions, and local communities, XCMG aims to ensure that every social initiative delivers long-term impact. XCMG Peduli Sumatra is not only a humanitarian action during emergency situations, but also a part of XCMG’s broader contribution to strengthening regional resilience and supporting sustainable development across Indonesia.
