20 Tahun Bersama, XCMG & CIMT Kuasai Pasar Crane Batam!

Batam, August 6, 2025 — XCMG, together with its strategic partner Cindo International Marine Trading (CIMT), hosted a Gala Dinner in Batam to celebrate two decades of solid partnership. The celebration marked an important milestone that reaffirmed a long-term relationship built on trust, synergy, and a shared commitment to grow together, while also serving as an opportunity to express appreciation to local partners and customers.

Since the beginning of their cooperation, XCMG and CIMT have forged close collaboration across multiple sectors, including construction, shipbuilding, energy, and chemical engineering, achieving significant milestones along the way.

In his remarks, Mr. Xia Dechang, General Manager of XCMG Construction Machinery, emphasized that since its founding in 1943, XCMG has been committed to building a world-class heavy machinery brand. With 82 years of experience, XCMG has become the largest construction machinery manufacturer in China and one of the strongest globally. The company now ranks 3rd worldwide in the construction machinery industry and 1st in the crane segment. XCMG operates 4 R&D centers in the United States, Germany, Brazil, and India, along with 10 manufacturing bases, exporting to more than 190 countries and regions.

In Indonesia, particularly Batam, XCMG has demonstrated dominant market performance. To date, the number of XCMG cranes in Batam has surpassed 430 units, securing a market share of over 80%. Among them is a 1,250-ton crawler crane that has served PaxOcean Shipyard for 12 years, as well as two 650-ton crawler cranes used in SMOE refinery projects. Overall, the total number of XCMG machines operating on Batam Island has exceeded 800 units, underscoring the company’s strong reputation and customer trust.

As the exclusive distributor of XCMG cranes in Indonesia, CIMT has, since 2010, built a strong sales and after-sales service network in Batam. During the event, XCMG and CIMT also presented four strategic initiatives to further strengthen services:

1. Value Empowerment – providing competitively priced heavy machinery tailored to local needs while reducing operational costs.

2. Service Assurance – expanding spare parts warehouses in Batam with a commitment to maximum 2-hour response time and technician availability within 24 hours.

3. Financial Support – offering flexible financing and leasing schemes to ease customers’ capital burdens.

4. Technology Sharing – establishing a technology exchange platform to introduce advanced and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.

CIMT, with its strong base in Batam, also took part in the Indonesia Marine & Offshore Expo (IMOX) 2025 from August 6–8. This largest maritime and offshore exhibition in Indonesia gathered more than 5,000 global industry players to discuss technological innovations and market opportunities in the maritime, offshore, and oil & gas sectors. The exhibition showcased a variety of equipment, including crawler cranes, wheel loaders, forklifts, and rollers, with total contracts exceeding IDR 300 billion over the three-day event. CIMT’s participation not only expanded its business network and opened new opportunities but also reinforced XCMG’s positioning as a brand of high-tech, intelligent, and environmentally friendly products.

This celebration reaffirmed XCMG’s commitment in line with its corporate slogan, “Solid to Succeed,” and demonstrated the company’s dedication to supporting infrastructure development and Indonesia’s economic growth. Together, XCMG and CIMT are determined to embark on a new chapter of partnership with even greater achievements ahead.
